The Buy vs. Rent Calculator is operated by Nick Robertson. This policy explains what it collects and the choices you have. Questions: nick@rarecombinations.com.

What we collect

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and the general type of device and browser. We run it in cookieless Consent Mode, so it does not store cookies on your device or identify you personally. What we see is aggregated.

Calculator inputs. The numbers you enter into the calculator are processed entirely in your browser to show your results. We do not send them to a server or store them. (If you use the Share feature, your inputs are encoded into the link you choose to share.)

Tips. If you choose to leave a tip, you are sent to a payment page hosted by Stripe, which processes your payment under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details.

Server logs. Like most websites, our host (Google Firebase Hosting) keeps standard request logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability.

Cookies

Because our analytics run in cookieless mode, this site does not set analytics or advertising cookies.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that help us run the site: Google (Analytics and Firebase Hosting) and Stripe (tips). Each handles your data under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask us to access or delete any personal information you have given us by emailing nick@rarecombinations.com.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
